Cardboard House Awards

Teams of two-four can register to participate with their team name to construct a cardboard box "home" in an hour. Participants will be given cardboard boxes (donated by local businesses), duct tape, and other building materials. A home inspector will then submit the homes to varying stress tests and give his/her opinions to the "Card Board" who will then select a first, second, and third place winner. Prizes will be from local businesses.

 The event will follow the Crazy Days of Windsor and will provide local trash and recycling services on site. After dropping off items for donation, trash, or recycling, spectators can enjoy food trucks and watch the teams build. There will be a designated kids section for kids to color on prebuilt cardboard homes. The event will be centered around recycling, charity and community involvement. Following the event boxes will be available for attendees who may be moving. All net proceeds will be donated to our local nonprofit, Noco HBA Foundation.
